Refugee Asssistance Project
Education Sector LWF/DWS Education sector supports learning in 7Preschool in the camp.
The Primary Education Unit manages 13primary schools among them one girl’s boarding school which implement Kenyan school curriculum.
The Secondary Education unit currently runs one school. Special Needs Education Unit,SNE, handles matters relating to disability. The unit practices inclusive education as a process of addressing and responding to the diversity of needs of all learners with disabilities.

The SNE unit also has a home based program which its implements through the community mobilizers.
Community Water Sector Water supply in Kakuma refugee camp is ran by LWF/DWS. The water sector operates 13 boreholes, 9 for the refugee camp, two for agency compounds and one for tankering.
The sector produces over 60,000 cubic meters of water every month.

School Meals Programme The School Meals Program,SMP is a WFP /UNHCR Program implemented by LWF/DWS in Kakuma Refugee Camp. The main activities of SMP is to provide wet feeding for 15,000 learners. The objectives of SMP is to Increase access to and completion of basic education of refugee children and youth while also improving nutrition status of the school going children in the camp.
